Bloom with gratitude

We all grow at different rates. I have been reminded this truth this afternoon.

Life has its way of being so different for each individual. We may call it fate or destiny or whatever we believe into ...

There are times I think of those people who have been in the same class with me during my graduate school years and see how far life has brought them. I am pretty amazed at the thought that back then, none of us could foresee what kind of life has been prepared for us but God. He is the Omniscient One, who knows how the story will be unfolded and holds our lifespan in His hands.

Comparison is the thief of joy.

That is so true. Why? when I start to fall into the trap of comparison, instead of being thankful for what I have (all the blessings that cover my life right now), I covet what I don't have. And that's ingratitude, that's sin. I know how much God dislikes ingratitude, I have seen it throughout the story of the Israelites when they crossed the desert.

Thankfully, God doesn't stop reminding me truths I easily tend to forget. When my focus starts to drift away from Him, His Spirit convinces me to count my blessings. He is a wonderfully merciful God and like a Good Shepherd, He leads me to the right path.
