What I need.

Early this year, I have learned that out of the comfort zone, growth is still possible. In John chapter 15, it appears that Jesus is expecting His disciples (the branches) to bear even more fruits throughout trials (the prunning process). Easier said than done though.  Yet, it is possible and promised only through remaining in Him.

Then, this week, I  came across this passage in John chapter 18 in which, 3 times in a row, Peter denied knowing Jesus, despite his pledge of allegiance few hours earlier. People are weak and failure might be terrible. But what goes straight to my heart is that the denial was not a surprise for Jesus. Knowing everything in advance, He chose to love Peter, to pray for His spiritual recovery and for His mission. No doubt that He keeps on doing the same to me, especially in my weak moments. Lovely Jesus.💖

To end, there is this pretty hard lesson I have highlighted in my notes. As I was reading, I was saying to the Lord, "Aouch, You talking to me? You did it on purpose, right? XD But force to admit the truthfulness of these few lines, which relate quite well with the picture above:

"Jesus did not bemoan His circumstances. In loving obedience, He willingly carried out the will of the Father". So, will you deliberately choose to be conformed to His likeness by submitting to the circumstances of God's choice for you and triumphing in them in every detail
